Five service lines, each with a fixed price band and one revision round.
A branding consultant in Austin, Texas sells one of five things here: a name and a positioning statement, an identity system, a website content consulting document, a build-oversight review, or a monthly guidance retainer. Every band below is the real number a client is quoted, not a "starting at" figure designed to get a call booked. If your project needs two of these, the estimator applies the same 8% bundle discount used in a real proposal.
This is the only page carrying the full rate card. The estimator reads its ranges from the table further down this page, not the other way around.

Positioning & Naming
Flat fee per engagement — $1,400–$2,600
This is a brand positioning workshop compressed into a fixed three-week sprint, not an open exploration. Week one is interviews and a competitor pass; week two is a single draft positioning statement, one page, plain sentences; week three narrows a name shortlist from roughly a dozen candidates down to three, tested against a trademark screen and read aloud at a register or on a phone call, because a name that reads well on a slide can still stumble out loud.
The band moves inside $1,400–$2,600 depending on how contested the category is — a single-location service business sits at the low end, a name that has to clear a crowded consumer category sits nearer the top. One structured revision round is included at the shortlist stage; asking for a second full round of new names after that is billed hourly at the rate quoted in the engagement letter.
What you get
One positioning statement, one page. Three shortlisted names with a plain-language rationale for each. No fifty-slide brand strategy deck — we have never found one that got read past page six.
Identity System
$2,200 base plus $150 per touchpoint, up to 6 touchpoints
A logo and brand identity studio job here means a logotype, one type pairing, one accent color, and a one-page usage sheet — never a symbol on its own, and never a "brand bible" running past a page nobody but us will read again. The $150-per-touchpoint scale covers whatever the client actually needs printed or displayed: a business card, letterhead, a vehicle decal, a sign, a social avatar template, an email signature. Six is the practical ceiling; past six touchpoints the job usually wants a second phase, priced separately once the first is live.
We will not design a secondary mark, an icon system, or a mascot inside this line. Those get proposed and priced on their own when a client genuinely needs one — most do not, and telling them so is part of the job.
What you get
Logotype in the formats your printer or developer needs, the accent color as a hex and CMYK value, the type pairing named by family and weight, and the usage sheet as one printable page.
Website Content & Structure
$95–$140 per page, 4-page minimum
This is website content consulting in the strict sense: a page-by-page audit of what a site currently says, a sitemap document showing what pages should exist and why, and full replacement copy for each one. A four-page minimum applies because a website structure audit on fewer than four pages rarely surfaces a real structural problem — most small-business sites need at least a home, a services or work page, an about page and a contact page rebuilt as a set, not in isolation.
We deliver this as a document — a sitemap plus page-by-page copy, formatted for a developer or template partner to build from directly. We do not touch a CMS, a template editor, or a hosting account. If a client wants that oversight once a developer starts building, that is the next line.
What you get
One sitemap document, full copy for every page in scope, and a short rationale note explaining why each page exists and what it has to accomplish before the next click.
Website Build Oversight
$180–$260 per page, working with your developer or template
We do not build your website. We make sure the one you get says what you meant — that is the entire job description for this line. Once a developer or a template partner starts building from our content and structure document, we review the build at defined milestones: first pass, pre-launch, and one post-launch check. We are checking copy fit against layout, heading structure, whether the pages match the approved sitemap, and whether the build quietly dropped or reordered something the document specified.
This line only works paired with a Content & Structure document, ours or otherwise legible enough to review against. We turn down oversight requests with no document to check the build against — reviewing a build with no written standard to measure it by is not oversight, it is opinion, and we say so before taking the job.
What you get
A written review note at each milestone, flagging specific pages and lines against the document, not a general note that the site "looks good."
Brand Guidance Retainer
$650–$950 per month, 3-month minimum
One call and one written note a month, on decisions the client is already facing — a new sign vendor, a menu redesign, whether a rebrand can wait another year. This is not open design hours and it is not a support contract; nothing gets drafted, drawn, or built inside this retainer. It runs on the guidelines already delivered from an earlier engagement, or it starts by writing a short one first.
The band moves with call frequency and how much written follow-up a month needs; $650 covers a single monthly call and a short note, $950 covers a longer call plus a written review of something the client sends over, such as a vendor's proof or a new page draft. Three months minimum, because one month of guidance rarely outlasts the decision it was bought to make.
What you get
One calendar invite a month and one written note within two business days of the call, covering exactly what was discussed.
What this studio does
Names things, positions things, writes and structures website content, reviews a build against that document, and gives monthly guidance once the identity is set. Two people work every account — not a rotating team handed off after the sale call.
What this studio will not do
Build your website, run unlimited revisions, sign an open-ended retainer with no end date, or claim a ranking, traffic or sales result no engagement can actually guarantee. If a project needs six months of edits after launch, something upstream was built wrong, and we would rather say that than bill for it.

What clients ask before the first call.
Four questions we hear on nearly every intake call, answered here so the call can start further along.
Do you build the website yourselves?
No. The Website Content & Structure and Website Build Oversight lines both hand off to your developer, template partner, or in-house team. We write the document and review the build against it; we do not touch a CMS or hosting account ourselves.
What happens if I want more revisions than the one round included?
A second structured round is billed hourly, at the rate stated in your engagement letter before work starts. We would rather say that up front than let scope drift the way an open-hours retainer does.
Can two service lines run at once?
Yes. Bundling a second line applies an 8% discount to the combined band, shown live in the estimator. Two people still run the account either way.
Do you guarantee more traffic or higher rankings?
No. Nothing here is sold with a ranking, traffic or sales guarantee, and no certification is claimed because none was issued to this studio. The deliverables above are the only promises made.
